FAQ

  • You can begin by drafting the renewal lease agreement in a way that is similar to the original lease agreement. You should also include the term of the new lease and list its rent amount. Once you have done this, you can add any changes made during the negotiation process.

  • A renewal lease agreement should include the following:

    • The names of all parties, including any guarantors or sureties

    • The address of the property being rented and other identifying details

    • A description of the property, including its square footage and any improvements or alterations that have been made since the original lease was signed

    • The length of time that the lease is valid. You can include a condition that automatically renews the contract unless you or the tenant give proper notice of an intent to terminate the lease.

    • The amount of rent and any other fees that will be due, such as utilities or maintenance costs

    • Any additional clauses you want to include, such as a late fee, additional deposit if necessary, or policy changes.

    • Any additional clauses you want to include, such as a late fee, additional deposit if necessary, or policy changes.

  • A renewal agreement is a contract between two parties, usually a landlord and tenant, that extends the current lease for some time. The length of the extension depends on what was negotiated at the start of the original lease.

  • A renewal is not a new contract. A renewal is a contract that keeps the terms and conditions of an original contract in place for another term.

  • It is important to renew your lease contract because it helps ensure that you will continue being able to operate your business or use the property as long as you need it. Without this renewal process, you would have to find another location or terminate your agreement with the landlord altogether.

  • The number of times a lease contract can be renewed depends on the terms of the original lease agreement. In general, landlords can renew a lease as often as they want if tenants agree to it.
