A pet agreement should include the landlord’s and tenant’s information, the place where the tenant will live with their pet, the inclusive dates of the contract (start date and end date), as well as how many pets are allowed within the property, and specify the amenities where the pet(s) are allowed. It is also advised to communicate with the landlord about what types of breeds are allowed to live within the property.
In this agreement, it is also required to provide all the information related to the pet(s) such as the name(s), breed(s), gender(s), age, pet(s) health – if the pet(s) is vaccinated, dewormed, and its temperament.
Lastly, the financial matters of this Agreement such as if there’s an applicable separate pet(s) fee(s) on top of the rental fee of the property, or if there’s a pet(s) fee deposit needed, should there be any. And for this Agreement to be valid and enforced, it should be properly notarized, acknowledged, and signed by both parties.
