A credit card policy, or a corporate credit card policy, is usually issued to an employee who is issued a corporate credit card. This Policy is included within the company’s accounting policy to outline any rules regarding the proper use of the corporate credit card. This Policy will protect the company from any unofficial or inappropriate expenses made by the cardholder.
The credit card policy should include the terms and conditions of having a credit card, its credit limit, interest rates, rebates, proper payment of monthly and annual dues, and transactions that are considered official business expenses.
A corporate credit card is a type of card that is usually issued to corporations strictly limited to their current employees. One of the main purposes of this corporate credit card is for the company to monitor and track the company-related purchases made by the employee to the credit card. Some company officers have their own corporate credit cards that they use for booking flights, attending company-related events from one place to another, team meals, internet/phone bills, and gas/transportation costs.
