Contract Terms
The following articles are the full legal terms of this editor contract.
Independent Contractor
Editor shall be considered an independent contractor for the purposes of this contract. Editor will carry out the tasks outlined in this contract in consideration of timely payment from Client. Client shall have no right or responsibility towards Editor as an employee at any time.
Non-Solicitation
Both parties agree not to solicit one another or each other’s employees to leave their respective positions at any time.
Intellectual Property Rights
Any creative works or other intellectual property created under the scope of this editor contract shall be the sole intellectual property of [Client.Company]. Editor shall make no claims otherwise at any point. Editor reserves the right to use samples of completed work for marketing purposes or as part of a portfolio.
Payment
Editor will issue an electronic invoice via email once every 30 days. Client agrees to pay each invoice within 15 days of receipt. Any late payments will be subject to a late fee equal to 10% of the total invoiced amount, and shall be included on subsequent invoices.
