The Parties

This videography contract is between

Filming will start at (start time) and end at (end time).

If, for any reason, the videographer is required to work past the end time stated above (state any consequences).

Payment

Reservation fee:

In order to consider this reservation active, a reservation fee of $(amount) must be paid by (method, i.e., credit card, PayPal, cash, check) no later than (deadline). If the reservation fee is not paid by this date, (state the consequences).

The client shall pay the videographer a remaining amount of $(amount) by (method, i.e., credit card, PayPal, cash, check) no later than (deadline). If this amount is not paid by this date, (state the consequences).

Refund policy:

Refunds must be requested (number of days) days in advance by (method, i.e., email, phone). After this, there will be no refunds.

In the case that the final video does not turn out, the videographer will give the client a full refund by (method, i.e., credit card, PayPal, cash, check) no later than (deadline).

Modifications

In the case that there is a change in the event date, time, or venue, the client must inform the videographer by (deadline). In such cases (state any consequences, like if there are any additional fees and what happens if the videographer is already booked on that date/time).

Revisions

Copyright and Ownership

Under the United States Copyright Act, ([Videographer.Company]/the videographer) will own all copyright to all videos and deliverables, including raw footage, digital files, and all Intellectual Property Rights. (Feel free to modify/expand this list).

Copyright Infringement

Any party found liable for copyright infringement by using the work without the copyright owner's permission in any way shall be subject to a fine of $(amount) (list any other consequences).

Usage Rights

The videographer and [Videographer.Company] has the right to use footage from this project (list where – on the company's website, social media channels, on their demo reel, etc).

The client (has/does not have) the right to use footage from this project (list where or conditions, i.e., as long as they give the videographer and [Videographer.Company] credit).

Warranty

1. The videographer shall try to meet all of the client's needs; however, the videographer does not guarantee (insert anything that applies, i.e., coverage of a certain event, a certain shot, etc.).

2. The client agrees that some unforeseen circumstances, such as weather conditions, may affect video quality.

3. The client agrees that the videographer shall have priority in getting footage over event guests.

4. The client agrees to only hire a videographer(s) from [Videographer.Company] for this event.

5. The videographer agrees to respect [Client.Company]'s and any other third party's copyrights and trademarks and not to disclose any confidential information.

Termination

Either party may terminate this contract for any reason provided that they notify the other party (insert method, i.e., in writing, by email, by phone) at least (number of days) days before the event.

If the client fails to pay the videographer by the deadline stated in this contract, the videographer will automatically terminate this contract by (insert method, i.e., in writing, by email, by phone).

If any party breaches any of the terms in this contract, the other party may automatically terminate this contract by (insert method, i.e., in writing, by email, by phone).
